Challoween!
What: Baking Challah! (from scratch)
When: TBD/Rescheduled!
Time: TBD!
Where: Eliana's House
4725 Hancock Drive
Boulder, CO 80303
This event is split up by chapters, however, the whole RMR (Rocky Mountain Region) is involved with this program. For Halloween, we will be making Challah from scratch. We will be making it for an event that will be announced by the Regional Yehudiah, Ellie Boswell. We are so excited to have a Regionally spread event, especially when it involves making, baking, and hopefully eating challah! More details yet to come, but still, if you have any questions, we will try to answer them. E-mail, Facebook, or write on the event's wall. http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=114911298615215. All I have left to say is: ATTEND!

Sisterhood Weekend 2011
This year, Boulder was able to host RMR's Sisterhood Weekend 2011 at the Boulder JCC on Kalmia! Girls from Boulder, Denver, and Colorado Springs were able to attend. Unfortunately, the BBG's from Albuquerque were not able to attend, though we look forward to having them come at next year's Sisterhood Weekend. The evening was full of wonderful programs planned by Nikki Naiman and Riki Gross. The theme of the overnight was "The Game of Life" so on particular program focused around just that - life! Other programs ranged from being funny to being sentimental - talking about the bonds of sisterhood and what makes a BBG a BBG. We even got a visit from the local fire department (yay candle smoke...)! Aside from programs, there was lots of eating involved; we were served pizza, fruit snacks, drinks, cookies, cereal, and pretzles & icing.
Overall this program went really well and ended with all girls in a huge circle outside the JCC chanting spirit at the top of our lungs (like always!!). If you could not attend this term's Sisterhood Weekend, we look forward to seeing you at the next one!
Submitted with undying love for firemen, icing and pretzels, and all those beautiful RMR BBG's, I remain your gosh darn proud Mazkirah, Rachel Winston!

The In-The-Sukkah Multicultural Shabbat Dinner and Sleepover
This was an amazing event! I can't even believe how much fun it was! I mean, what could be better than a night with my lovely BBGs...and eating delicious foods! Eliana, you were great! The sukkot dinner was so successful! Any of you who missed it, I hope that you know how much fun you missed out on! I hope that all of you who couldn't make it to this event (which is in the single digits) can hopefully make it to the next event!
Overlook on the delicious foods that attended:
homemade chocolate chip challah, mac & cheese, potatoes au gratin, cesear salad, fruit bowl, noodle salad...etc!

Unconventional Sports Day: Ahavah #331 Challenges Ilan Ramon #380!
So the key idea to take away from the unconventional sports day is that girls suck at Red Rover but rock at cartwheels! *Major props to Rachel Winston for the 15 consecutive cartwheels without puking. We also learned that boys can't cook, however the sparkling blue heart cooking came out delicious as well as very beautiful. Chess boxing = no-go! I mean who has the time to watch a whole game of chess. Of course the girls won, because we used out brains and moved all the players in at once to create a massive CHECK MATE! I would also like to mention that if you didn't attend the unconventional sports day, you missed out on a great time, especially the part where Jon Ansell broke Rachel's fence. *Props to Jon for breaking a fence because you are so into the game of Red Rover. The kickball was so much fun too, except Keren Megory couldn't handle the heat, and hurt her knee ending the game quickly. In my opinion, my favorite part of the whole day was...SUMO WRESTLING! Who doesn't like a good clean game of sumo-wrestling, because if you do, this was not the place to be. Duct-taped to Erin Guderian's legs, chest and arms were mounds of bubble-wrap. 3-2-1! And all you can hear is the laughter as the popping goes on.
Submitted with undying love for kicking some Jewish boys' butts and proving, we REALLY are the best of the sexes,

RLTC/Fall Convention
As the Mazkirah, I am very distraught over how I couldn't make it to the final Fall Convention during my term, however, we have a testimony:
"Fall Convention 2011 was only my second convention with BBYO, and has made such an impact on me. I met so many amazing people, learned about leadership, and what a blessing it is to be Jewish. Everyone is so amazing there, and you create bonds that you know could last a lifetime. We also did many different activities regarding Judaism, chants within BBYO, and some simply for fun. I feel so blessed to be part of such a community as BBYO, and I can't wait for the next convention!"

Tieg's Walk: Prevention of Teen Suicide
Tieg's Walk was so much fun. It's so great we had more than half of the board make it! It was so much fun to walk a mere 5K to support such a great cause. I know that it really helped Andi and David to know that 331 supported the almost one year anniversary of their son's loss. We didn't really get to take any pictures, but I'm so happy that we went in the first place! If you have any pictures you're more than welcome to send them to me so I can post them on the website!

Ahavah #331 Annual Spa Night 2011!
So the Spa Night was extremely successful! Not only was it a time for us girls to bond with the new board, but we also gained a Gizborit! CONGRATULATIONS to KEREN MEGORY! I see a lot of potential in you and you'll do a great job as a financial manager! The night started early with what girls do best: EAT. We ate all types of junk food, Cheetos, cupcakes, chips & guacamole, and drank gallons of Dr. Pepper and Sprite. As we settled in, the spa began. All the girls of the board gathering around to paint their nails and catch up with each other. The majority of the board is spread out from girls going to school at Monarch High, to Fairview High, to Boulder High, all the way to Silver Creek. The night was still young when the music started blasting! Some old-school rap started to blast throughout Heather's house and immediately our dance party began. It was a night to remember. As we settled down in the living room, Heather and Hannah emerged from the basement holding a cake for Lena. That night was two days before her actual birthday so we decided to have an early celebration; and what better place to do it than with all my sisters!
As soon as we finished stuffing our faces with more food, the inductions began. Inductions are the official way to say that you are a member of BBYO and you receive a pin and all. The inductions lasted longer than expected and ended at midnight. However, next were installations, where old board members step down, and the new board members are officially on the board. It got to be a very emotional night when Hannah (N'siah/President) gave little tid-bits about each of the board members. Next was Good & Welfare which is where we sit in a circle and catch up. We discuss what has happened to us since the past Good & Welfare and just talk openly in a safe environment. This was very crucial because despite the fact that the hour Good & Welfare started at 2am already had us in a tired and groggy state-of-mind. We all overflowed with emotions because of how much had gone on since we last talked, but as the night ended, we all felt a lot closer and felt like sisters for the first time for the Fall/Winter board.
The Spa Night was amazing to say the least, and if you weren't there, there's always next year's annual! Yes, there are pictures from the night, but they will be posted within the next day or two.
Submitted with undying love for all the sad & happy tears shed that night, Crackle nail polish, making a mess, eating relentlessly, Dairy Queen ice cream cakes, and all my beautiful sisters either on board or off board in #331,
I remain your GOSH DARN proud Mazkirah, Lena Chase
